Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
– Grab your current read
– Open to a random page
– Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
– Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week my teaser comes from “The Dead and the Gone” (Last Survivors, Book 2) by Susan Beth Pfeffer. I have been enjoying this book but not as much as Life as We Knew It. Still it is a solid read, see the teaser below.
Here it is: “Alex pushed an elderly man onto the street. He could feel the man’s fingers crunch under his shoe as he grabbed Julie. Holding on to her as tightly as he could, he used her almost as a battering ram, making a path through the mob until they could run freely toward Central Park.” Pg. 128
