Charley Davidson Series by Darynda Jones
This has been an incredibly fun and humorous urban fantasy series. The characters are amazing and the supernatural elements are really well done. These books are action packed and have me laughing out loud all the time.
Book 5: Fifth Grace Past the Light
Book 6: Sixth Grave on the Edge
Book 7: Seventh Grave and No Body
Book 8: Eighth Grave After Dark
Book 9: The Dirt on the Ninth Grave
Book 10: The Curse of the Tenth Grave
Book 11: Eleventh Grave in Moonlight
The Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews
This is the best book in this series so far. I continue to be amazed and awed by the creativity the goes into this series and how easy and fun the books are to read.
Book 3: One Fell Sweep
Casey Duncan Series by Kelley Armstrong
I would honestly recommend everyone reads this series; it is just such a well done thriller/mystery. I don’t even usually like thrillers but I was absolutely sucked into this book. The story and characters are incredible.
Book 2: A Darkness Absolute
Cainsville Series by Kelly Armstrong
This is a mystery heavy urban fantasy series that is on this list for the second year in a row. I am enjoying the mystery and all the fae elements to the story. It’s been a great read and I am sad that the series is over.
Book 5: Rituals
Xian-Li Series by M.H. Boroson
One of the best urban fantasies I have read in a long time. I loved the setting and all the research that went into that. I also really enjoyed Xian Li-lin as a heroine, she was a very unique heroine. Additionally the late 1800’s San Fran setting was fun and interesting especially when paired with all the Chinese mythology. This book was very unique and very well done and I ended up loving it a lot.
Book 1: The Girl with Ghost Eyes
The October Daye series by Seanan McGuire
Yes, another Seanan McGuire series. This has been an amazing series that has been on this list for many years. The series just keeps getting better and better. I love all the mythology and fae in this book; it’s a beautifully written and intricate urban fantasy.
Book 10: Once Broken Faith
The Heartstrikers series by Rachel Aaron
This series has been a wonderful balance of action, a twisty plot, great world-building, engaging characters, and awesome magic. I plan on continuing with the series and am really enjoying it! I would recommend to those who enjoy light-hearted urban fantasy.
Shadow Falls by C.C. Hunter
I really enjoyed this series a lot. I love series that have a mystery contained in each book and then a broader storyline as well. I would recommend to those who enjoy paranormal YA books. This series is well written and very entertaining!
