In My Mailbox and Mailbox Monday – 7/18

IMM is a meme started at The Story Siren with some inspiration from Alea of Pop Culture Junkie.

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week (checked out library books don’t count, eBooks & audio books do). Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

This week I got eleven books. I bought Blood on Silk by Marie Treanor at Barnes and Noble because it was on the clearance rack for cheap. I also bought My Life as a White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland because it has an awesome cover and sounds really fun!

Audible.com added some more audio books to their paperback sale so I bought One Foot In the Grave (Night Huntress, Book 2) by Jeaniene Frost and The Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Stories by HP Lovecraft for $5.95 each.

I got an absolute boatload of books for review through NetGalley.com. You can look below to see them all. I am most excited about The Iron Knight!

I see you got The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa among your loot this week… I presume that you’ve read the previous books… I have Iron King and Iron Daughter in my TBR shelf waiting to be read next… I was wondering if you liked these books… is it worth my time or am I going to be wasting a whole load of my reading time?

That first book defintiely has one of the creepiest covers I have ever seen. But usually creepy covers make for good reads…right! The Iron Knight also looks amazing!!! Enjoy your reading!!!

Hi Cherry,

I really really loved the Iron Fey books by Julie Kagawa, I would highly recommend them. Then are actually one of my all time favorite YA series. They have more of an edge to them than a lot of the other YA faerie series out there.

I actually got ARCS of them and then bought them new too…so I really really enjoyed them 🙂
