This is the second volume in the Storm Front graphic novelization of Butcher’s book of the same name. It was very well done and I enjoyed it alot.
This picks up right where Book 1 (issues 1-4) left off. Harry is trying to solve this mystery of murder and dark magic, but he is under close observation by the Council. Now Murphy suspects him of foul play as well and has her eye on him. Can Harry solve the mystery, save innocents, and keep his own butt out of jail before it is too late?
If you have enjoyed the previous two Dresden Files graphic novels you will enjoy this one. If you enjoyed the Dresden Files books you should give the graphic novels a try; they are really well done.
The story follows the book well and adds a little bit to the story too. The illustration is extremely well done. It’s all in full color, is very detailed, super easy to follow, and matches the mood of the story perfectly.
There is a lot of the humor here that is present in the books as well and you will find yourself chuckling out loud a number of times. Really the graphic novelization is really well done. All of the characters look exactly how I pictured them when reading the book.
Overall an excellent graphic novel adaptation of the Dresden Files Storm Front book. I really loved the book series and am really enjoying the graphic novels for it as well. This graphic novel captures the mood, action, and humor of the book very well. The artwork is stunning and incredibly well done. Highly recommended to those who love fantasy/urban fantasy graphic novels. Also highly recommended to fans of the Dresden Files.
