Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Things On My Reading Wishlist
Welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! This weeks top 10 are “Top Ten Things On My Reading Wishlist (if you could make authors write about these things you would. Could be a specific type of character, an issue tackled, a time period, a certain plot, etc.)”
You can see my “Top Ten Things On My Reading Wishlist (if you could make authors write about these things you would. Could be a specific type of character, an issue tackled, a time period, a certain plot, etc.)” below, in no particular order.
- Book about girl/woman struggling to make it in a science field and being successful…something fun and engaging that would draw readers in.
- YA fantasy book set in ancient Egypt.
- Steampunk combined with space travel. You know giant steam engines in space…I understand the physics don’t work but it would be blast (hee hee) to read about.
- Action-oriented young adult fantasy. I want more books like Graceling and The Hero and the Crown.
- More epic fantasy with strong female characters (not bitchy ones or ones that are there as eye-candy). There are a couple authors that do a good job with this, but there are more who don’t.
- Another urban fantasy with two lead characters that have chemistry similar to Cat and Bones (from the Night Huntress series).
- More books set in Emma Jane Halloway’s wonderful world full of Steam Barons and crazy creations.
- Ninjas and zombies, I mean that would be pretty cool right? I can think of a million cool ways that Ninjas can kill zombies.
- Young adult fantasy set in feudal Japan.
- More Asian based urban fantasy like White Tiger by Kylie Chan, but actually written well with decent English.
