Welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! This weeks top 10 are “Top Ten Most Unique Books I’ve Read”
You can see my “Top Ten Most Unique Books I’ve Read” below, in no particular order.
1. Pivot Point by Kasie West: This is such a cool idea and sooo unique.
2. Verily, A New Hope by Ian Doescher: This Star Wars retold as a Shakespeare play and incredibly well done at that. This was a wonderfully unique book.
3. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak : This is just such a great way to write a book, not many books written from Death’s perspective out there and to have one that deals with the Holocaust. It was just spectacular.
4. The Resurrectionist: The Lost Work of Dr. Spencer Black by E.B. Hudspeth: A fully scientific treatise complete with musculature and skeletal structure of mythological creatures. This is a pretty darn cool book.
5. Scarlet byMarissa Meyer: I loved this strange world and blend of steampunk, science fiction, and fairy tale retellings. This is just a completely creative series.
6. 14 by Peter Clines: A creepy and very unique book that ends up being something totally different than you initial expect.
7. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green: A book about teens with cancer that still ends up be funny, entertaining, and heartfelt.
8. Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews: A world that shifts between magic and tech, this is a very unique idea and series in the overpopulated urban fantasy Genre.
9. The Girl Who series by Catherynne M. Valente: The lyrical writing style coupled with the fantastic worls make this a very unique read.
10. A Tale Dark and Grimm by Adam Gidwitz: This is a crazy book. It is darkly hilarious, disturbingly gory, and an excellent fairy tale retelling. It’s a very unique book and I really enjoyed the whole series.
