Okay immediately after finishing The Martian I went on Goodreads to see what else Weir had written and came across this little story called The Egg. You can read it for free at this link: http://www.galactanet.com/oneoff/theegg_mod.html

The premise of the story is basically that someone has died and they meet God. What they learn in this brief conversation with God is outstanding, amazing, and mind-bending.

This is a very very short story that was originally done as an audiobook. It’s maybe 4 pages long and it’s worth every word.

The fact that Weir can convey such a complex and interesting idea in such a short piece was pretty darn amazing. Seriously give it a read…it will take maybe 10 minutes of your life to read tops and you won’t forget the story ever.

Normally I don’t do many short story reviews…but seriously go and check this one out.
