This book is the 26th volume in the Claymore series, and the second to last in the series. The last book in this series, volume 27, is due to release in October 2015. This book continued in the same vein as the first one; lots and lots of awesome fight scenes with a couple of amazing revelations.
Cassandra and the uber Awakened One continue their battle. Meanwhile Clare and Raki take on Priscilla in a final battle…or is it?
This book picks up where volume 25 left off. Lots and lots of fighting and some excellent action scenes throughout. It’s been awhile since I read vol 25, so I found a few of the fighting scenes a bit confusing and hard to follow.
Clare does take some time to reflect about how meeting Raki changed her life and her outlook on things; this was a nice aside. We also get some backstory on how Raki trained with Isley.
The majority of the book is the remaining Claymores trying to kick the stuffing out of Priscilla. There are some crazy twists right at the end of the book, seriously the end…like the last page.
This manga continue to be well drawn. I love watching how Clare has changed over the series.
Overall this is a good addition to this manga series. I can’t wait to see how things wrap up in volume 27! I would recommend this series to those who enjoy strong female characters and action packed fantasy manga.
