Welcome to the 2nd post in my “Best of 2015” series. This is the best general or historical fiction I read in 2015. Click on the image to go to Goodreads to read more about the book. Or you can click on the link above/below the image to see my review of that book.
I don’t read a ton of historical/general fiction. But I did read some really good ones this year. In fact this set includes my absolute favorite book of the year: Echo by Pam Munoz. You can see them below.

The Waverly Family by Sarah Addison Allen
These books are just such a good blend of subtle magic and heartfelt women trying to make their lives work. They are always sweet and engaging reads.
Book 2: First Frost

Echo by Pam Munoz Ryan
This was my absolutely favorite book of the year. I loved this book and the kids we read about and how their stories influence each other. I love the history here, the music, and how it does an excellent job showing middle grade readers an important time in history. This book was just so well done and so clever. Everyone should read it!

The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand (5/5 stars)
This book was about a smart (math genius) teenage girl who has everything going for her until her brother kills himself. We get to watch as she struggles, not only to solve the mystery surrounding the why behind her brother’s death but also struggles to deal with the changes in her life and moving on. I loved it, it was incredibly engaging and hard to put down. A very emotional read.

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Okay I know I am a little behind the game on this one…but I absolutely loved Fangirl. Enough said.

I Crawl Through It by AS King
I love a lot of AS King books. This one absolutely blew me away. I love the premise, the surreal quality to the story, and how the reader is left to puzzle at what is real and what is…not so real. This was an awesome magical realism type of read.
