Best of 2016 – Historical Fiction/General Fiction/Science Fiction
Welcome to the 2nd post in my “Best of 2016” series. This is the best general or historical fiction I read in 2016. Click on the image to go to Goodreads to read more about the book. Or you can click on the link above/below the image to see my review of that book.
I didn’t read much in this category. In fact I only have two books in this category. Don’t worry I make up for the lack of books in this category in upcoming categories 🙂

The Steep and Thorny Way by Cat Winters
This book was an excellent blend of supernatural, mystery and history. I really love how it explored some of the issues in the 1920’s. This was a really unique book that I enjoyed a lot.

Casey Duncan series by Kelley Armstrong
I am generally not a huge fan of thrillers but I ended up really loving this first book in the Casey Duncan series. The setting was so unique and the mystery completely engrossing. I also loved the lifelike characters and the suspense. I would definitely recommend to Armstrong fans who are willing to read something other than paranormal mysteries.
