“At her father’s deathbed, Orlaigh Roche came face to face with the age-old myth of The Slaugh; a group of soul-stealing spirits so evil that not even hell would take them. Years later, and with the belief that her father’s soul is still trapped in some form of the netherworld, she goes looking for answers – beginning a journey that leads her down a path to discover what really happens to us after we die.”
I actually really enjoyed this graphic novel. This TPB contains all the issues of The Hunt in one volume.
This graphic novel is set in modern day but deals with evil fae that suck the souls from sick humans. It’s a very dark and somewhat gory story. However I really enjoyed the fae mythology in here and enjoyed the horror themed spin on it all.
The illustration is amazing, I especially loved the scenes in the fairy realm. The colors are rich and beautiful and the graphic novel is easy to follow.
Things are left kind of open ended but the main storyline is tied up. It would be great to see future graphic novels set in this world.
Overall I really liked this. This was a well done blend of horror and fae mythology. I would recommend to those who enjoy fantasy horror graphic novels.
