“Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. In Glitches, a short prequel story to Cinder, we see the results of that illness play out, and the emotional toll that takes on Cinder. Something that may, or may not, be a glitch…”
This is a prequel to Cinder, the first book of the Lunar Chronicles. It tells us about how Cinder ended up with her family and goes through how her adoptive father passed away. It also talks about how Cinder rebuilt Iko and the struggles Cinder went through with her adoptive family.
This was a great story to get some more background on Cinder. It’s a well written and engaging read. It is a very quick read; probably took me 20 minutes to read.
Overall this was a great addition to the Lunar Chronicles series. I would recommend to fans of the series who want to get a bit more background on Cinder and her past.
