“Being a teen deity is tough! Not only does Nanami have her duties at the shrine, she has her female classmates begging her to get them dates with her yokai companions. Tomoe wants nothing to do with dating, so what is Nanami going to do about her growing feelings for him?”
Series Info: This is the 4th volume in the Kamisama Kiss series. I borrowed this book from the library (it’s the last book in this series that my library carries).
Characters (4/5): I love Nanami and Tomoe, they are fun characters with a lot of depth and they are very entertaining to read about.
Story (4/5): I didn’t enjoy all the high school silliness at the beginning of the book. However, when they get to the beach and meet one of the ocean yokai, things really get interesting!
Setting (4/5): I continue to really enjoy that yokai exist in this world and enjoy how they blend with contemporary life. Aside from that this is pretty much a normal contemporary setting.
Writing/Drawing Style (4/5): The dialogue between characters is always funny in these books. The illustration was well done and easy to follow, it’s not as detailed as some, but still very solid work.
Summary (4/5): Overall, this was another fun read in the Kamisama Kiss series. As mentioned above this is the last volume in this series that my library carries, so if I want to keep reading it I will have to buy future volumes. While I enjoy this series (and think it is cute and funny) there are other manga series out there that I enjoy a lot more. Right now I am not planning on continuing this series.
