2019 Resolutions – How Did I Do?
Personal Resolutions Were:
1. Get My Material Life Under Control
This was a partial success. We kept the clutter down in the house and kept things fairly clean. I reduced the amount of money I was spending monthly on “stuff” (clothing, makeup, etc). I would really like to reduce the clothing purchases even more and am planning on setting a concrete monetary monthly goal for my spending.
2. Get My Body Fat Down to 29% and my Weight Down by 10lbs
Fail. I ended up having a major surgery midway through the year and failed on this one. To be fair I did get my weight down by 10lbs, however my activity was severely restricted for a good portion of the year. This means I did not get my body fat down and my weight ended up back up to where it had been at the end of 2018 by the end of 2019. I’ll make a second effort at this in 2020.
Blogging Resolutions Were:
1. Keep my TBR Pile Under Control
Success!!! I had no issue with doing this and hovered at around 10-15 books in my TBR pile all year which is a level I am comfortable with.
2. Read less books this year
Success!!! I read about 50 less books this year. I would say at least 75% of the days this year I dedicated at least an hour a day to self wellness…aka stretching, weightlifting, and cardio. I also was successful in doing more volunteer work. I joined the Volunteering Committee at work and help run both a monthly food shelf event and coordinate numerous other volunteer events throughout the year. I plan to continue this in 2020.
