“After the mind-blowing events of the second arc, our story heads right through the looking glass. Father Burke tracks a vicious killer named… Norton Sinclair? And when that killer can travel through time (and space!), readers are in for a wild ride. Collects GIDEON FALLS #12-16
Series Info/Source: This is the third volume in the Gideon Falls series. There are six books in this graphic novel series. I bought this book.
Thoughts: We start out in the past where we watch a Father (not Burke) chase the darkness that dwells in The Black Barn through many versions of Gideon Falls. Meanwhile Burke shows up in Sinclair’s Gideon Falls and Sinclar shows up in Burke’s Gideon Falls. Yes, it is all a bit weird…with a twisting timeline and the possibility of parallel realities or maybe just times?
This remains incredibly creative, interesting, and well drawn. I love how the panels are laid out and how the story is coming together. I am completely intrigued by what is happening here. It is creepy but also fascinating to watch this unnamed darkness creep through all the versions of Gideon Falls. I immediately went online and bought Vol 4 when I finished this book.
My Summary (5/5): Overall I continue to really love this series; it is an excellent supernatural horror graphic novel series and is similar to the Locke & Key series in tone. I love how the way the panels are drawn compliment the story and continue to be completely drawn into this strange horrific mystery. I can’t wait to see how the series continues.
